As I write this, she has taken it upon herself to completely destroy the latest edition of Today's Parents, which I haven't had the chance to read as of yet, and now, clearly, won't. Oh well, it's distracting her long enough for me to write this before she unlocks the basement door and she and her brother take off in opposite directions.
She started speech therapy again on Monday, which went quite well. We're working on getting her to choose between two objects and get her to say which object she'd like.
"Zoe, Kleenex, or ball?" "Bahl", she'd say, and then place it in the Busy Ball Popper.
"Zoe, Kleenex, or train?" No response, but she took the train.
Apart from this coming Thursday, she will continue speech therapy every Tuesday afternoon. We are still on the wait list for occupational therapy, and we still have our home visitor come out to see her bi-weekly.
She can recognize a few colours...
"Zoe?" I ask when she opens a book, "What's blue?" And she points to the blue object and says "BOO!" However, she still confuses red, purple and yellow. But two colours is great!
Sorry it's taken so long for an update. Had some medical issues of my own to deal with. Will update again soon!
